In this presentation, we will explore the Romani feminist decolonial perspective on knowledge production, discussing the contributions of Romani women in academia and community initiatives. We will begin with an introduction and context, providing an overview of the historical and sociopolitical background of Romani women's struggles. Moving into decolonial feminism, we will explain its principles and it's relevance in addressing Romani women oppression. The concept of intersectionality will be discussed next, emphasizing its relevance to the multifaceted identities of Romani women. We will then highlight the unique characteristics of Romani feminism and its contributions to the broader feminist movement. The role of academia, but not only in the decolonization process will be examined, stressing the need for inclusive perspectives in knowledge production. Finally, we will showcase the contributions and initiatives of Romani women in creating new narratives and challenging stereotypes, illustrating their significant impact on knowledge production.
